Jiang Lan breaks women's sprint "freezing"

At the Nanjing Station of the National Indoor Championships, Jiang Lan from the Jiangsu Ironman Track and Field Team rewrites the women's indoor national record. Because before the competition, the national indoor and outdoor women's sprint records at least have been “frozen” in spring and autumn. The original record of 2,373 indoors for 200 meters has even been maintained for 16 years, so this “thaw” is very rare.

Jiang Lan is only 23 years old, but he debuted early. He won the 100m championship in 2007. In the 2008 National Indoor Athletics Championships, he won 60m and 200m first. In 2009, he won 100m Gold medal and 200-meter silver medal can be said to be one of the best female sprinters in China.

It is a pity that the overall level of domestic women's sprints is not high. She has been difficult to make breakthroughs. Don't talk about participating in world competitions. She can only rank second in Asia. In 2011, Jiang Lan participated in the 200-meter Asian track and field competition held in Japan. As a result, the preliminary round ranked fifth in the group and exited early.

Last year's Indoor World Championships, China sent Tao Yujia and Wei Yongli to participate in the women's 60-meter contest, the former stopped in the preliminary round; the latter ranked 15th in the semifinals and could not go any further; the London Olympics, because few people could reach the standard, the Chinese women 200, 400 meters and two None of the relays participated, and only one person played at 100 meters, still only hearing a gunshot.

This time in Nanjing, Jiang Lan's record-breaking 200-meter record can only rank 35th in the world this year, but breaking the deadlock means hope. I hope this will make a good start for the Chinese women's sprint. (Wang Wang)
